Shopping centres are long term investments which ensure the future of Steen & Strøm’s business. The objective is to develop new and existing shopping centres to create the best shopping destinations in Scandinavia.
 
At the beginning of 2009, Steen & Strøm is working on the development of the following projects:

SWEDEN

 

Sundsvall

Sundsvall i now on its way to becoming one of Norrland's leading commercial towns. Steen & Strøm are building up a trading area with the existing Kulturmagasinet. In this way Sundsvall´s centre will be stranghened by combining entertainment with commerce.

 

Kristianstad

Kristianstad will become an entirely new commercial area in Östra centre. It will be the largest construction in the town since the 1960s and is part of the development programme ”Kristianstad is growing”. The project will confirm the town´s image as a leading commercial town in the region

Mölndal Centre near Göteborg

Area: 60,000 sq m residential, office and hotel, 65,000 sq m shopping and activities

Destinasjon Vinterbro

Total area: 53.000 sq m.


Plans include a ski slope (250 m.), ski tunnel (1, 3 km.) and hotel.

 

 

Økern, Oslo

Development of 250.000 sq m. including retail, residential area, leisure, culture, public services, public transportation, hotel, spa, parking and offices.

 

Kvadrat, Stavanger

Extension: 40.000 sq m
Total area: 84.000 sq m.


Development plans include retail, leisure, residential area, infrastructure, public services and education. 

 

Holmen, outside Oslo

Extension: 25.000 sq m.
Total area: 50.000 sq m.


Development plans include retail, residential area, leisure, culture, public services, parking, offices and harbour facilities.

 

City Syd, Trondheim

Extension: 20.000 sq m.
Total area: 58.000 sq m.


The planned extension is part of a large place making program including retail, infrastructure and offices.

 

Gulskogen, Drammen

Extension: 15.000 sq m.
Total area: 45.000 sq m.


Completion in 2010. Stage 1 of the extension project was completed in August 2008 with the opening of 40 exiting shops.


 

 

Hovlandbanen, Larvik

Extension: 10.000 sq m.
Total area: 28.000 sq m.


The development includes retail, residential area, public services, culture, offices and leisure.

 

Metro, Lørenskog

Extension: 15.000 sq m.

Buskerud Handelspark

Plans include exterior upgrade of facades and outdoor areas, interior upgrade as well as new goods delivery, entrance and atrium on the south side of the centre.
